"My daughter Kate has been taking lessons here for about a year. A couple of weeks ago we went to WaterWorld and were on the lazy river. Kate insisted on being in her own tube and wanted to be as far away from me as possible. Half way around Kate fell out of her tube. I was about 10 feet away and jumped out of my tube to grab her. I could see a panicked look on her face as she was under water. But in a split second instinct kicked in and she elevatored up, back floated, looked around and grabbed her tube. All of our lessons have paid off! "

"My son Joseph is in the Tiny Bubbles class and I am ever so grateful for this class and Mrs. Diana especially after a recent incident involving my son jumping into a creek! While out for a walk with a friend and our dogs, my son Joseph decided the dogs were having so much fun playing in the water that he wanted to join them. It all happened so fast but he kicked his feet and immediately flipped onto his back and by then I was there to help him get out of the water safely. It was shallow enough for him to stand up but we all know that doesn't matter when it comes to the dangers of drowning. Other than being soaked and a little scratch on his back, Joseph was fine. My friend was shocked that I stayed so calm. I was too, although I wasn't calm on the inside. Thanks to the wonderful instruction from Mrs.Diana both Joseph and I knew what to do. Thank you for running such a great program at Starfish that gives both parents and kids the tools to stay safe in the water!"

Justin my older son who is now 10 is going to the USA State Junior Olympic Swim meet in Fort Collins next weekend. He is seated 3rd in the state in the 100 Fly and 4th in the 50 Fly. A long way from where we started with you with life survival skills. Swimming has become a major part of his life. He swims for CAC stingrays year round. "My daughter, Leilani, & I met Ann almost 16 years ago when she first started teaching her swim classes. My daughter was a rambunctious 1 ½ year old who, under Ann’s tutelage became a fearless 2 year old, a strong individual with her own personality and sense of being while learning to swim.
